Tour Plan :

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your riad. Take some time to relax and settle in after your journey. In the afternoon, explore the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna Square and the winding alleys of the old medina, where you can experience street performers, traditional food stalls, and local crafts. Enjoy your first Moroccan dinner at the riad or in a nearby restaurant. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After breakfast, depart Marrakech and drive across the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping to admire the panoramic views. Visit the UNESCO-listed kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village famous for its mud-brick architecture and as a backdrop for many Hollywood films. Continue to Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Sahara,” and drive through the Valley of Roses, where countless rose gardens bloom in spring. Arrive in Dades Valley in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

After breakfast, take a short walk to explore the dramatic rock formations and landscapes of Dades Valley. Depart for the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon with towering cliffs perfect for photography and light hiking. Continue through Tinghir, Erfoud, and Rissani, passing traditional Berber villages along the way, before arriving in Merzouga. Here, embark on a camel trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset over the desert. Dinner and overnight in a traditional desert camp under the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga – Desert Excursion (Nomads & Oasis)

Wake early to witness a magical sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, explore the Sahara by 4×4, visiting nomad families and the village of Khamlia, famous for its Gnawa music performances. Discover hidden desert oases and enjoy panoramic views of the vast desert landscapes. Experience the traditional lifestyle of the Berber nomads and enjoy mint tea with local families. Return to Merzouga for dinner and overnight in a hotel or desert camp.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Fes

Leave the desert behind and drive through Rissani, Erfoud, and the palm-lined Ziz Valley, stopping to admire the scenic landscapes and local villages. Continue through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas and stop in Midelt for lunch. Afterward, drive onward to Fes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Check into your riad and relax for the evening. Overnight in Fes.

Day 6: Guided Tour of Fes

Enjoy a full-day guided tour of Fes, the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco. Visit the ornate Royal Palace gate, the Bou Inania Madrasa, the medieval tanneries, and the bustling old medina. Explore the narrow cobbled streets filled with artisans and local markets. Learn about the city’s history and traditions from your guide. Dinner and overnight at your riad.

Day 7: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

Depart Fes and drive to Meknes, visiting Bab Mansour, one of Morocco’s most impressive gates, and the nearby mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Continue to Volubilis, the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, exploring ancient mosaics and columns. In the afternoon, arrive in Chefchaouen, the enchanting “Blue City,” known for its picturesque blue-painted streets. Spend the evening strolling through the medina and soaking in the relaxed atmosphere. Overnight in a riad.

Day 8: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Chefchaouen to take photos or shop for local crafts. Drive to Rabat, the Moroccan capital, and visit the Hassan Tower, Kasbah of Oudayas, and the Royal Palace exterior. Continue to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. Dinner and overnight in a comfortable hotel in Casablanca.

Day 9: Casablanca – Departure

On your final day, visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque (optional), one of the largest mosques in the world. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy a last stroll along the Corniche or local markets before being transferred to the airport for your departure. End of your 9-day Moroccan adventure.
