Tour Plan :

Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

Pick up from your Riad or hotel in Fes around 8:00 a.m. Drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou, famous for its cedar forests and artisan handicrafts. Stop in Midelt for lunch, then continue through Erfoud and Rissani to reach Merzouga. In the late afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a Berber dinner and overnight in a desert camp.

Day 2: Merzouga – Desert Excursion & Nomad Villages

Watch the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at your desert camp. Explore the surrounding desert by 4×4, visiting nomad families and Khamlia village, known for Gnawa music. Discover desert oases and scenic viewpoints, and learn about the traditional Berber lifestyle. Return to Merzouga for dinner and overnight at a hotel or camp.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, leave Merzouga and drive through Rissani and Erfoud. Pass through palm-filled Ziz Valley and continue to Tinghir to visit Todra Gorges, famous for its towering canyon walls. Continue to Dades Valley and enjoy dinner and overnight in a hotel surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou

After breakfast, take a short walk in Dades Valley to admire the rock formations. Drive through the Valley of Roses, passing Skoura Oasis and its kasbahs. Visit Ouarzazate, Morocco’s “Gateway to the Desert,” and explore the famous UNESCO World Heritage kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a setting for many films including Gladiator. Overnight in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Depart Ouarzazate and cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views of rugged peaks and Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Explore the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna Square, the medina, and local markets. Overnight in a riad in Marrakech.

Day 6: Marrakech – Guided City Tour & Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the colorful souks. Free time for shopping or exploring before being transferred to the airport for your departure. End of the 6-day Fes to Marrakech tour.
