Tour Plan :

Day 1 : Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Camel trek and Night at Merzouga desert camp

 

Today at 9:00 a.m., your driver from Sahara Camel Trips will pick you up from your hotel in Errachidia to begin your 2-day journey to Merzouga.

Along the way, you will stop to admire a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley, the second-longest valley in Morocco and one of the most beautiful in the country.

The journey continues toward the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes, passing through Aoufous and Erfoud, a town renowned for its fossils and annual date festival.

If you wish, you can visit a local fossil craft workshop before continuing on to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as the Merzouga Dunes.

Upon arrival at your hotel, prepare for an unforgettable camel trek lasting about an hour and a half. Ride across the golden dunes to witness a breathtaking sunset, try sandboarding if you like, take memorable photos, and soak in the stunning desert scenery.

After sunset, continue by camel to your desert camp, where you will be welcomed with a refreshing glass of mint tea.

Enjoy a delicious dinner, listen to traditional Berber drumming around the campfire, gaze at a sky filled with brilliant stars, and spend a magical night in the heart of the desert.

 

Day 2 : Erg Chebbi Dunes – Back to Errachidia 

The next morning, we recommend waking up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise from the top of a dune near the camp. After enjoying this peaceful moment in the Sahara, return to the camp for breakfast and a refreshing shower.

You will then ride your camel back to the original meeting point, or transfer by 4WD vehicle if you prefer.

After meeting your driver, your 2-day tour from Errachidia to Merzouga continues back toward Errachidia. Along the way, you may visit the traditional weekly market in Rissani if your travel date coincides with one of its market days (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday).

There will also be stops for panoramic views, photos, and free time for lunch. You will arrive in Errachidia in the afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of our services.
